The University Graduate Diploma in Foreign Languages is a programme of advanced part-time study in major European languages for members of the local community which enables students to gain credits as part of the MODCAT Scheme (Modular Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme) offered by the University. Classes will be taught mostly in the foreign language. You will normally be expected to spend as much time on private study as class attendance. This could involve reading, completing set work and working on assignments.

There will be no examinations for Level 1, the assessment is by coursework only. At the end of the Language and Communication module there will be a formal examination. In the final year there will be a project to complete.
