Leyland Leopard / Plaxton Highwayman with Rees & Williams of Tycroes – ex Lancashire United.

A shot taken in 1982 of the groundworks for the M65 motorway in Nelson, Lancashire. The row of Terraced houses seen in the upper right side of the shot is Woodside Terrace which can still be seen as you go past junction 13 heading towards Burnley

The sheeting and scaffolding is as they restore the tower and add new features to the observation deck
