Dr Jenny Clegg has research interests in China’s rural development and is currently also researching on China’s views of globalisation, with particular reference to global multi-polarisation trends. She has presented papers at international conferences and has published work on rural enterprise reform in China. She is currently completing a study of Chinese rural cooperatives. In addition, she is interested in the study of the history of the Chinese, in Britain and has published a book entitled Fu Manchu and the Myth of the ‘Yellow Pearl’. Her report on Chinese Studies in UK Schools was published in 2003.
