Research Staff Profile!

Isabel Donnelly is currently undertaking a PhD in Linguistics at Lancaster University. Her areas of interest are language, culture and identity with particular reference to the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language. Recent research projects include syllabus design for asylum-seeking ESOL students; testing oracy in teenage EFL students; and the characteristics of teacher discourse in EFL. It is this last project that she is extending for her doctoral thesis with particular reference to the area of expertise in language teaching.
